Herbal plant - this plant is widely used in folk medicine; infusions made from Phlox subulata leaves to alleviate symptoms of respiratory conditions such as coughs and colds; the plant’s natural compounds were believed to have soothing effects on the respiratory tract; poultices created from crushed Phlox subulata leaves were applied to wounds and cuts, with the plant’s antimicrobial properties thought to aid in preventing infections and promoting faster healing.
