The hoverfly is Eristalis arbustorum. Synonyms: 'Tripleurospermum perforatum', 'Matricaria perforata'. It is native to Eurasia and North Africa. Noxious and persistent weed. Herbal plant - is used as a mild wound healing agent, often for sensitive baby skin, but also as a soothing tea. Usable plant - fodder and bedding for farm animals.
