Native to the Siberian taiga, south to Turkestan and Mongolia. Ornamental plant. Herbal plant - the essential oil obtained from the leaves is antirheumatic, expectorant and stimulant. Usable plant - the wood is light and soft, it has no heartwood or resin ducts and is not very durable, used for light-frame construction, furniture and pulp.
