Lutomiersk, near Łódź

Native to the eastern Mediterranean region from Turkey to Iran, and Syria to northern Israel. Ornamental plant, cultivated also in pots. Useful plant - an essential oil obtained from the flowers is used in perfumery; a blue dye is obtained from the flowers.
